The focus of my research is cell- and molecular biology studies within thrombosis and haemostasis. Especially the diagnostic potential of molecular biology methods have been in the spotlight of my research. Specific research areas include:

• Genetic characterisation of inherited thrombophilia in order to improve diagnostics and precision medicine in individuals with increased risk of thrombosis.
• Studies of microRNA expression profiles as prognostic biomarkers for platelet function and the risk of thrombosis.
• Studies of platelet surface markers and their association with platelet aggregation.
