My research area within the field of Clinical Biochemistry is centred around Point of Care Testing (POCT), pre- and in-hospital use of biochemical biomarkers and method validation of high-scale automatized routine analyses.

I have great experience within the laboratory aspects of validation of new biomarkers and my focus is to improve the use of both old and new markers. In relation to this, I also look into various pre-analytical variables that impact laboratory results and how we as professional staff can aid in the reduction of these.

Current projects include stability studies, verification of reference intervals and in the growth of the clinical applicability of POCT equipment.
