Health Care Seeking Exploration and Intelligent Morphology Recognition to Obtain Coherent Patient Trajectory in Men with Genital Lesions, workpackage I

Aim: to examine the patient perspective in men with genital lesions (wounds, tumors, rashes, and unspecific symptoms “down there”)

Number of patients: qualitative methods, numbers not crucial

Methods: in this prospective anthropological research we examine the patient perspective in men with genital lesions through observation, interviews and anthropological methodology.

Inclusion: persons with a penis with genital lesions (wounds, tumors, rashes, and unspecific symptoms “down there”)

Exclusion criteria: age < 18 years, persons with no penis (unless the lack of a penis is a result of a total penectomy – then the individual can be included)

Status: data collection ongoing, first draft under preparation 

Sites: Aarhus University Hospital, Copenhagen University Hospital, General Practices in Copenhagen and on Funen, Private Dermatology Practices (multiple sites)
