Certified in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI).
Chairman of Foreningen af Yngre Dansk Thoraxkirurger (FYDT) and board member of Dansk Thoraxkirurgisk Selskab (DTS).
Special interest in cardiac surgery, aortic surgery, valve-sparing aortic root procedures, valve repairs and TAVI.

My primary field of interest is experimental cardiac surgery and heart valves. The aortic valve has been the focus, and for many years, we have tested different valve-sparing aortic root procedures in both in vitro and in vivo models. Testing involves comparisons of different surgical techniques to test of different rings and materials used for these procedures. Furthermore, I also specialize in development of medical devices for cardiac surgery.
