As a postdoc, I conduct research in occupational and environmental medicine. I am particularly interested in the associations between chemical exposures and acute health effects. I have a degree in occupational epidemiology and public health.
I am researching occupational and environmental medicine with a particular focus on chemical exposures and acute health effects. Using quantitative measurements, I aim to generate knowledge to establish evidence-based guidelines for safe work. My research contributes to decision-makers establishing evidence-based exposure limits and employers initiating measures to prevent work-related diseases.
I teach environment and health in the Bachelor’s programme in Public Health, as well as public health in the Bachelor’s programme in Medicine. Using epidemiology and biostatistics, my goal is for students to learn how to conduct risk assessments and critically evaluate scientific articles.
I am also the course coordinator for the Bachelor Project: Public Health in the Bachelor’s programme in Medicine.
In addition, I supervise bachelor’s and master’s students in medicine and public health on their bachelor’s projects and theses.
My primary responsibility is to investigate the association between chemical exposures and acute health effects. I lead research projects, supervise and teach students, prepare grant applications, manage funding, and communicate my research findings.
