Research

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Aarhus University Hospital, specializing in the development and application of liquid biopsy techniques for. My main research focus is on cell-free chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing (cfChIP-seq) aiming to estimate cancer epigenetics from blood samples and ultra sensitive ctDNA detection methodologies to detect minimal residual disease.

I have strong expertise in bioinformatics, developing and implementing analyses for DNA and RNA sequencing data, often utilizing HPC clusters and R. My international research experience includes a collaborative stay with the Dawson group at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, which broadened my perspective on cancer epigenetics and liquid biopsy applications.

Collaborations

As part of my PhD studies I have completed a research exchange in the Dawson group, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia. This international collaboration has resulted in a greater understanding of the applicability of liquid biopsies and how it is possible to study cancer epigenetics from blood plasma.
