Christopher Rohde

I am a medical doctor and researcher with a particular focus on psychiatry and psychopharmacology. My work combines clinical psychiatry with register-based research on treatment, adverse effects, and physical health in people with severe mental illness

My research focuses on psychopharmacology and the treatment of severe mental illness, with particular emphasis on treatment effects, adverse effects, and physical health. Using nationwide registers, laboratory data, and epidemiological methods, I study how treatments perform in clinical practice. 

I collaborate with researchers and clinicians in Denmark and internationally on projects within psychopharmacology, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and clozapine treatment. These collaborations include both register-based studies and clinically relevant research questions, with the aim of translating large-scale data into knowledge that can improve treatment.

My primary areas of work are clinical psychiatry and research in psychopharmacological treatment. I work with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and treatments such as lithium and clozapine. I also focus on physical health in people with psychiatric disorders.
