Postdoctoral researcher at the Research Center for Health Literacy and Equity, Department of Public Health, Aarhus University. My work focuses on health literacy and organisational health literacy responsiveness, using co-design approaches to improve health outcomes. I collaborate nationally and internationally with leading researchers in health literacy and equity to advance innovative, evidence-based strategies.

Teaching activities

I teach in health promotion and prevention, health literacy, social health inequtiy, qualitative and quantitative methods at the bachelor’s and master’s levels. I also have experience supervising bachelor’s and master’s students on independent projects and theses as well as being junior supervisor for PhD students. 

Collaborations

I collaborate with national and international partners within my field of research. Nationally i primarily collaborate with researchers in the Center for Health Literacy and Equity (REACH) and the Unit for Applied Public Health at Aarhus University. Internationally i collaborate with researchers from Deakin University and La Trobe University. 

I also have several collaborators in the Danish healthcare setting including among others Randers Hospital and Municipality. 

I am also part of several networks on health literacy in Europe, Denmark and Australia. 

Job responsibilities

I study health literacy, organisational health literacy responsiveness and social health inequity before, during, and after pregnancy. I have extensive experience leading large-scale research projects, including participant recruitment, co-design, data collection, analysis, and reporting. My work employs both qualitative and quantitative methods to investigate complex public health challenges.
