How to improve long term progonosis of newborns with brain damage? 

My reserach focus is newborns with brain damage due to lack of oxygen at bith - Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE). Throught the use of a preclinical model I work with magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy (MRI/MRS) to gain futher insight into the newborn brain and the underlying pathomechanisms that constitues HIE and how to treat them.
