I am a researcher at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital specialising in musculoskeletal disorders. My research focuses on how patients experience pain, function in daily life, and regain physical activity after injury or treatment. I lead and contribute to several randomised controlled trials. I am also a steering committee member of the PROAMP database, a nationwide collaboration with Danish municipalities on patients undergoing leg amputation.
My research focuses on musculoskeletal disorders, with particular attention to hip-related conditions. I investigate how treatments affect pain, function, physical activity, and quality of life. I primarily work with randomised controlled trials and registry data.
I teach and supervise students at bachelor’s and master’s level within health sciences, including research methods, clinical studies, and rehabilitation.
I collaborate with national and international research environments and clinical partners. I disseminate research through scientific publications, conferences, teaching, and communication to clinicians and relevant stakeholders.
My work involves designing and running randomised controlled trials and analysing data to understand how treatments affect patients’ pain, function, physical activity, and cost-effectiveness. I use questionnaires, physical tests, and activity measurements. I collaborate with national and international partners and contribute to teaching, supervision, and dissemination of research.
