As Head of the PhD School and Head of Function, my main task is to ensure that PhD students at the Faculty of Health Sciences receive an education that meets the requirements of the PhD Order. At the same time, I work to create a strong framework for the PhD area in the health sciences. I am a specialist in endocrine disorders. I have been doing research since my student days. In the clinic, I became aware of the importance of leadership, and I have supplemented my management tasks with an MBA in change management.
The PhD administration serves approximately 750 PhD students, 400 PhD principal supervisors and 100 research year students.
The department handles administrative tasks in connection with the enrolment of PhD students, PhD courses, assessment of PhD theses, PhD defence and completion of the PhD programme, as well as HR tasks for university-employed PhD students, and approximately 150 PhD courses are run and conducted annually.
