As a research assistant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, I study the prevention of preterm birth. My work focuses on a national randomized trial investigating activity restriction for pregnant women at risk. I am a trained medical doctor and expect to begin a PhD within the project this summer.
I conduct research in obstetric interventions for threatened preterm birth, with a particular focus on the effect of activity restriction in high-risk pregnancies. Using a national randomized controlled trial, I investigate the clinical effectiveness and safety profile of the intervention. My research aims to support evidence-based practice and enable tailored care for high-risk pregnant women.
My primary responsibility is the coordination and implementation of the national randomized trial BEWISE, including site support, participant and monitoring. I contribute to data management and analysis, and I am involved in drafting study documents, including the protocol, in collaboration with my supervisors. I also engage in close interdisciplinary research collaboration.
