My research and development concerns medication safety during pregnancy, based on information and surveillance models.
The goal is to enable the safest possible clinical decision-making when pregnant women require medication, grounded in complete, up-to-date data of the highest possible quality.
My teaching philosophy is based on the premise that learning-related factors are controllable, and that effective teaching reduces the gap between students’ levels. Furthermore, I view educators as active and intentional designers of learning experiences, which are modular and flexible and should therefore be continuously adapted.
University Teaching Programme (Universitetspædagogikum), Aarhus University, 2021.
Lectures in obstetrics (medical students) and pharmacology (dental students).
I am affiliated with the research group Personalised Medicine in Pregnancy, led by Clinical Professor Lars Henning Pedersen.
I work at the intersection of obstetrics and pharmacology, and in collaboration with Business Intelligence in the Central Denmark Region, we develop innovative solutions to return patient-generated data to clinicians, making data readily accessible without substantial delays.
I co-developed and lead the information system FREIA, which links medication and pregnancy data in real time and enables continuously updated decision support for clinicians and patients. The system represents a new model for integrating research and clinical practice and is used within the Medicines Information Service at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Aarhus University Hospital.
