You can read more about Parkinsons's Disease under the heading 'About Parkinson's Disease'. You will find information about symptoms, causes, diagnoses and treatments.
If you are a patient with Parkinson's Disease, a relative, or if you are just curious to learn more about our studies in Parkinson's Disease, you can find information under the heading 'Our research'.
As such, we are not able to help or guide patients concerning referral, medication or treatment.
Instead, you should contact your general practitioner (GP) or the hospital unit you have been referred to by your GP.
Throughout many years, we have included a large number of patients in our research projects, and therefore we only include newly diagnosed patients for the time being.
So, if you have been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease within the past 6 months, we would like to interview you for possible participation in one or more of our studies.
Aarhus University must always report mileage compensation for driving related to project participation as taxable income. B-tax will therefore be deducted.
However, you may contact the tax office (SKAT) to get assistance in calculating the driving expenses afterwards (kilometers * the current low rate). This amount should be entered in box 29 in the preliminary income assessment. If box 29 is not available, please contact SKAT.
