Laboratory-based Translational Research in Hematological Malignancies
Our group dives deep into translational cancer research with a strong focus on blood cancers. We explore cancer biology from every angle: molecular mechanisms, tumor microenvironment mapping, large‑scale proteomics, imaging flow cytometry, and cutting‑edge gene‑editing therapeutics.
By bringing these strengths together, we work to turn complex biological insights into powerful diagnostics and treatments for patients who need better options. Our mission is clear: push innovation forward and bring real impact to the clinic.
At the Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University, and the Department of Hematology, Aarhus University Hospital, we have built a vibrant translational research environment where researchers and clinicians work side by side to advance disease diagnostics, monitoring, and our understanding of blood cancers.
Our projects are grounded in a strong platform of expertise developed within our group and through close collaborations with colleagues at the Department of Biomedicine, Aarhus University, and the Departments of Pathology, Pediatrics, and Oncology at Aarhus University Hospital.
Driven by a shared mission, we continuously leverage molecular biology to tackle real clinical challenges — and bring meaningful improvements to patient care.
We strive to foster an environment where engagement flourishes, driving cutting-edge research results.
We believe that researchers' active involvement in every aspect of their projects is essential for fostering both engagement and enthusiasm. We cultivate a space where ideas can be easily generated and thoughtfully evaluated by providing a framework that is both reliable and flexible. This approach ensures that our researchers feel supported and motivated to make impactful contributions to the future of healthcare and, ultimately, to our society.
