My group uses human neuroimaging to study brain dysfunction in mental disorders - the causal pathway from genetic liability to pathophysiology to cognitive impairment and psychopathology in the development of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depression. Using magnetoencephalography (MEG), electroencephalography (EEG) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) combined with biophysical modelling, we provide quantitative biomarkers for clinical research that allow for a biological nosology of mental disorders.
