Questionnaires

Self-reported medication use during pregnancy

Our research

We aim to improve the safety of pregnant women who use medication. Achieving this requires significantly better evidence regarding the use of all medication, including over-the-counter medicines and natural medicines—knowledge that can currently only be obtained by asking pregnant women.

Through questionnaires available at routine examinations, pregnant women can report medication use during pregnancy. The self-reported information is linked with other exposure data sources, prescription registers and hospital medicine, thus achieving completeness of exposure and important validation of misclassification of exposure.
