Our biobank serves as an indispensable resource, procuring, preserving, and supplying high-quality, living and preserved human brain samples. By making these samples readily accessible to leading neuroscience and oncology labs, we aim to accelerate the pace of key scientific discoveries and facilitate the shift from animal models to human-based research.

Embedded in the rich neuroscience ecosystem of Aarhus University, we play a crucial role in elevating the neuroscience landscape both locally and internationally. Through focused studies on the living human cortex, we aspire to advance therapeutic interventions for a wide range of neurological and psychiatric disorders, including epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson's disease, and brain cancer.
