Outside the laboratory setting a disease can not be isolated from the person suffering from it. Research in patient care is therefore an important element of clinical medicine. In the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, patient care research is undertaken within and across diagnoses in the following areas:

  • Pre-operative care and follow up
  • Participation in HPV vaccination and cervical cancer screening programs

The nursing profession

  • Nurses' health beliefs and attitudes towards certain diagnoses
