Bevilling fra DFF til Per Borghammer
Per Borghammer modtager 3,1 millioner kroner fra Danmarks Frie Forskningsfond
Clinical Professor Per Borghammer from the Department of Clinical Medicine and the Department of Nuclear Medicine & PET-Centre at Aarhus University Hospital has received a grant from the Independent Research Fund Denmark.
In the study a completely new method called MiniPSG will be used to record patients' brain and muscle activity during sleep using a minimal number of electrodes. The goal is to understand the earliest changes in the development of rapid eye movement sleep behaviour disorder (RBD), which is the most specific early symptom of Parkinson's disease.
Casper Skjærbæk, PhD student, has been highly involved in the development of the preliminary algorithm and will closely collaborate with the team.
