As an Associate Professor at the Department of Clinical Medicine and a hospital physicist at Aarhus University Hospital, my work focuses on the operation and development of PET scanning and other imaging methods for clinical use and research. In general, I am interested in how physical principles can be applied to improve medical diagnostics and treatment for the benefit of patients. Additionally, I am passionate about communication and teaching within the field at all levels.
My primary areas of work include the optimization and development of methods and protocols for PET scanning, operation and procurement of equipment, calculation of radiation doses for patients and research subjects, and optimization of radiation protection for staff and the public. In addition, I regularly teach in various Master's and PhD courses at Aarhus University.
