My primary research area is municipal nursing, with a focus on care and support. As a lecturer in the master's program in nursing and a researcher, I am particularly interested in how organizational structures and conditions influence nursing practice.
My research focuses on change processes, including digitalization, the development of nursing and care practices, and the organization of work in the municipal sector. I am a trained nurse with a master's degree in nursing, and my professional experience is primarily rooted in municipal nursing.
My research focuses on municipal nursing, with a particular emphasis on care practices in concrete contexts. Using qualitative methods such as interviews, observations, and document analysis, I explore how structures and frameworks shape municipal nursing and elder care.
Additionally, I conduct research on documentation practices and the unique potential of multicultural social and healthcare students (SOSU) to enrich elder care.
I primarily teach in the APN track of the master’s program in nursing, working with both large and small groups and supervising students in their written assignments and exams.
My teaching approach combines lectures, case-based learning, exercises, and reflection to support students' academic development. I teach the courses Organization and Coordination, Clinical Project, and Human Life Situation, and I am also a lecturer and course coordinator for the Comprehensive Assessment course.
I collaborate with Syddjurs Municipality and SOSU Østjylland on the project TRACED – Transcultural Care Education. The aim of this project is to explore the unique potential of multicultural social and healthcare students (SOSU) to enhance the quality of elder care.
Additionally, I work with Lemvig Municipality on the development of nursing documentation within a value-based professional framework. The goal of this project is to utilize the documentation system to support a more humanized approach to elder care, based on the theoretical perspective of lifeworld-led care.
I am a board member of the Professional Society for Nurses Working in Development and Research. Additionally, I am a member of the Documentation Council under DASYS.
Whenever possible, I represent municipal nursing in working groups, councils, and committees.
My primary field of work is municipal nursing and care, with a focus on nursing practice rather than specifically on nurses—regardless of who provides the care.
I primarily teach in the APN track of the master's program in nursing. In my research, I collaborate closely with Danish municipalities as well as Nordic and Baltic educational institutions.
