Research

As an associate professor, I conduct research in clinical epidemiology and lead a group of biostatisticians. I have a background in mathematics and a PhD in health sciences. My main research areas include statistical & epidemiological methods and maternal & child health epidemiology, with a focus on vulnerable newborns. I study the long-term impact of Group B Streptococcus (GBS) on the well-being of children and parents. Our GBS research contributed to WHO’s 2021 full value of vaccine report.

Collaborations

I collaborate closely with international research institutes, such as Stanford University, Boston University, Harvard University, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, Amsterdam UMC, Vienna Medical University.
