As a researcher, I focus primarily on the prevention and treatment of obesity among children and adolescents. My work is mainly centered on nutrition and eating behavior. I hold a PhD in health sciences focusing on children and adolescents, as well as a background in physiotherapy, sports and health. I have also previously worked as a physiotherapist, as well as with personal training and nutritional counseling.
I conduct research on nutrition, eating behavior, and disordered eating with a particular focus on eating behavior traits, as well as the effects of interventions targeting children and adolescents with overweight and obesity. Through the development and validation of new methods, along with investigations of the effects of nutrition on children's health, well-being, eating behavior, and weight development, I aim to prevent overweight and obesity in children and adolescents and improve their overall health and well-being.
My primary responsibility is to plan, initiate, and project manage research projects in the field of children and adolescents, disseminate research findings, and supervise students.
