New prospects for personalized medicine in therapeutic drug monitoring and optimal utilization of established candidates as in psychopharmacology is the topic of my research. In cancer treatment can drug level control (e.g. tyrosine kinase inhibitors) be a useful instrument to optimize the patients treatment and outcome. Implementation and validation of new methods to detect and monitor the plasma levels of different drugs is an important pre-condition. Other examples for implemented assays (besides TKI) are artificial sweeteners by mass spectrometry.
