The Department of Clinical Medicine invites applications for a full professor position in the field of applied medicotechnology and experimental life-sciences. 

The position
The Department of Clinical Medicine has an outstanding animal facility, and it serves as an important entity for pathophysiological studies and translational medicine. The position seeks to strengthen and complement these activities between experimental animal models, new diagnostic instruments and preclinical tests in human. The position will take responsibility on new methods for physiology monitoring, such as telemetry and advanced imaging (MRI, CT, ultrasound, etc). Besides, the position will lead innovation of new animal models, preferably in connection with comparative biologists (allowing both traditional experimental animals and more exotic, such as salamanders and reptiles) and may be responsible for animal laboratory facilities, holding environmental physiological studies (hyperbaric chambers, hypoxia, hyperthermia, etc). 

Qualifications
The successful candidate must:
• demonstrate an excellent record of scientific achievements (particular within experimental animal sciences)
• have a strong record of publications
• have experiences in clinical research
• be technical innovative
• have experiences in zoology and research in exotic animal research
• have a strong knowledge of diagnostic methods (telemetry, electrophysiology, imaging methods, etc)
• be involved in international cooperation
• have large experience in teaching and student supervision
• have a significant experiences in leadership and research group management

  • The appointment is in accordance with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (Akademikerne).
  • Remuneration is in accordance with the above, and the Salary agreement catalogue for staff at Health.

    Application

    Applications must be accompanied by a CV, diploma, a list of publications, a research plan as well as a teaching portfolio. A maximum of ten of the publications of greatest relevance to the job must be submitted.
