Research areas include the development of artificial intelligence-supported image recognition of penile changes as a decision support tool for health professionals, molecular biological changes in penile cancer precursors and penile cancer, national database studies, and the importance of organizational changes in penile cancer patient care.

Teaching activities

My teaching philosophy is based on clear communication. Particular focus on urology and penile diseases. Teaches courses and individual lectures at Aarhus University and has also given guest lectures at universities in England, the Netherlands, and in Sweden. Collaborations

In my international collaboration, I have contributed to the systematization of knowledge within penile cancer.

Most recently, I have collaborated with urologists from England and the USA to spread knowledge of guideline-driven work-up and treatment for penile cancer.

I am currently working with researchers in artificial intelligence, medical anthropology, and molecular biology to expand our understanding of options for men with penile disease.
